Rob Pirie
Chief Executive Officer

Prior to joining MCF, Rob completed his Canadian Securities Course, the Conduct and Practices Course, the Options and Derivatives Course, the Mortgage Agents Course, and the Officers’, Partners’, and Directors’ Course. Along with these credentials, Rob was previously employed as an Equity Trader at Bank of Montreal from 1998 to 2002. After gaining extensive knowledge in the industry, Rob founded a successful business venture, RLS Pirie Mortgages Inc. Rob’s company was acquired by MCF in 2010, and his expertise had a significant impact on the firm’s evolution into one of the leading private, non-bank lenders in the industry.
Outside of MCF, Rob has won five national titles for professional cycling as a member of Canada’s national team, as well as two world championships. He volunteers for various charitable events and fundraisers.
Sean McKay
President

Prior to joining MCF, Sean graduated with Honours in Business Management. He has completed the Financial Services Underwriting Diploma program, as well as a range of industry-recognized courses such as the Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP) License. After working at Enbridge Gas as a Pipeline Inspector for a brief period, Sean decided to apply his expertise and knowledge to MCF. For several decades, Sean has helped pave the path for the firm’s quick growth and expansion, allowing the firm to become a leading pioneer in asset management and mortgage investments.
Outside of the firm, Sean spends weekends at the cottage with Rob Pirie, a lifelong friend and business partner, and Sean enjoys snowboarding, skiing, boating, and football. He married the girl next door and has been with her for more than 20 years. They now reside with their two kids in Newmarket.
Korin Wilson
Vice President
Prior to joining MCF, Korin completed the Law Clerk diploma program at Seneca College in 2002. She has also completed the Exempt Market Products Course, the Officers’, Partners’, and Directors’ Course, and the Mortgage Agents Course over her years working at MCF. The combination of her professional advancement within the firm and her personal education has provided Korin with an extensive understanding of the business and more than 15 years of experience in the investment industry. She has also implemented core processes and systems to the firm, progressing MCF to consistently achieve higher returns and, in turn, developing MCF into the well-oiled machine it is today.
Outside of work, Korin is the Treasurer of the Riptide Competitive Ladies Volleyball Association and Coach of Riptide’s Little Rippers Youth Division. In her spare time, she participates in town fundraisers and community food bank drives, along with her husband and two children.
Chad Mooney
Vice President Business Development
Prior to joining MCF, Chad completed the Agent and Brokerage courses at Seneca College in 2002 and worked for several different brokerages. He went on to complete the REMIC Mortgage Agent Course and the Ontario Mortgage Brokerage Course. After obtaining over 10 years of knowledge and experience in the mortgage business, Chad co-founded a successful mortgage brokerage that is still in operation. His company soon gained recognition and became an eminent leader in the industry within three years of its conception in 2010. Since his transition to MCF, Chad’s professional background and comprehensive insight in mortgage brokering has transformed MCF into the true equity lender that it is today.
Chad is an avid fan of outdoor sports, including hockey, skiing, snowmobiling, swimming, wakeboarding, and jetskiing. He lives with his wife and two children in Innisfil.
Kathryn Yardley
Legal Counsel
Prior to joining MCF, Kathryn practiced at a law firm in Aurora in the areas of real estate, mortgage financing and corporate law. Previously, Kathryn worked in the Prosecutor’s Office at the United Nations Special Tribunal for Lebanon in The Hague. Kathryn was called to the Ontario Bar in 2010. She holds a B.A. from the University of Ottawa and a J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School. Kathryn also earned a certificate in Information Access and Protection of Privacy from the University of Alberta and is certified by the Canadian Institute of Access and Privacy Professionals.
Kathryn is an active member of the Aurora community and has held many positions on the Board of the Optimist Club of Aurora. She enjoys spending time with her horse and has competed on an international level in equestrian dressage.
